Details Content
Qualitative Filter paper is originally used to detect materials that exist in analysis samples. However, with the low price and different sizes, laboratories and production sites use this filter for various purposes.
Features
Qualitative filter paper consists of almost 100% alpha-cellulose and has less than 0.1% ash contents.
Characterized by its slim and enhanced wet burst strength, available in most sizes.
HM maintains the highest quality in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
α-cellulose
Alpha-cellulose is the main ingredient of pulp which is a raw material for paper. There are 3 types: α, β, and γ.
α-cellulose is not soluble in solutions with 17 – ۱۸% sodium hydroxide, pure, and has a high degree of polymerization.
Applications
- Liquid purification in qualitative analysis
- Filtration of precipitates such as calcium hydroxide, lead sulfide, and calcium carbonate
- Seed testing and soil analysis
- Detection and measurement of dust and gas
- Filtration of buffer solutions and dye
- Selection guide
- For high-efficiency filtration, it is important to select a filter paper suitable for the filtration conditions.
